The majority of 9th of the Ninth jewellery is created using solid precious metals such as 925 Sterling silver and natural gemstones and crystals.

 

Please note some necklaces available to purchase are only made with silver plated chain.

 

STERLING SILVER

 

The sterling silver rings are fine delicate and in some cases dainty. These pieces should be worn with care. While these materials are durable enough to wear daily, it is recommended that you remove when showering or applying lotions, perfumes, make up or house work to aviod discolouring and damage.

 

All sterling silver jewellery can be cleaned and polished using a jewellery polishing cloth.This will retain the polished finish for longer and help prevent tarnishing. Pieces can also be cleaned in an ultrasonic jewellery cleaner.

 

It is best to store sterling silver jewellery in cloth pouch or in an air tight container as prolonged exposure to the air will also cause the item to tarnish.

 

Various chains are used across different pieces. While these chains are of the highest quality, care should still be taken when wearing. It is advisable to remove when showering, using lotions and perfumes or make up as well. It is not recommended you sleep whilst wearing chains, to aviod twisting and tangling.

 

Silver plated jewellery may show signs of wear in time as it is only a coating. Store in air tight containers prevent tarnish. Contact with liquds will discolour the chain, again avoid the same things as you would for sterling silver products. You can remove light tarnish by using a dry and soft microfibre cloth and is important to buff VERY gently, to avoid scratching the outer layer.

 

Tarnishing is a natural process that causes discolouration on silver jewellery and other precious metals and is not a fault of the product. Tarnishing will occur over time when exposed to perspiration, skin acids / oils that come with normal wear. Also cosmetics, perfumes and lotions.

 

GEMSTONES / CRYSTALS

 

Every piece of 9th of the Ninth jewellery is hand-crafted, often with one of a kind stones and requires delicate handling. Avoid bumping them against another object or dropping them this may cause the crystals or gem stones to break or chip.

 

Hot water, harsh chemicals and cleaners should be avoided at all times. Also avoid extra moisture, pat dry your precious gemstone jewellery right away by gently using a soft microfibre jewellery cloth.
